Position Overview

A collaborative and innovative professional, the Project Manager will possess the ability to oversee the budget, project schedule costs, customer sales and delivery of our iMod classrooms to public, private and charter schools in California.  Culturally this person will foster an environment of teamwork and customer centricity, building solid relationships at every level in the organization.  He or she will enjoy leading and accomplishing objectives in an exciting fast growing, dynamic company environment.  This is pivotal role in building solid relationships with customers and their interaction with the Company.  iMod Structures is prioritizing customer service as a differentiator.

What you’ll do:

  • Interact with Sales team on prospective projects and transition to project manager at the stage of delivering schematics and draft pricing

    • Work closely with the Director of Production and Design and the Director of Sales to provide the highest level of client service and design execution

  • Assume responsibility for contract negotiation including final design, pricing and scheduling

  • Manage project through to customer acceptance and occupancy, including permitting, client reporting, safety and logistic plans

    • Create project plans, including project scope, goals, tasks, resources, schedules, cost, contingencies, or other project information

    • Manage subcontractors or consultants of ensure quality and conformance to specification or budgets

    • Primary point of contact for all clients, participate in all client design/manufacturing meetings

    • Reconcile the reality of customer imposed deadline with production of product

    • Manage outside regulatory review process and compliance

    • Ensure compliance with applicable government or industrial codes, standards, requirement or regulations

    • Utilize Gantt Charts to achieve target milestones

  • Full P&L responsibility for each project for each project, including budget prep, change orders, variance projections and reporting (financial and operational) and collection

  • Establish key manufacturing performance indicators and develop cost reduction plans

  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects of varying size and scope

  • Enhance and cultivate customer experience as a primary cultural goal of IMS

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in the use of relational databases for optimizing projects, documents and time management

What we value:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction related field

  • 5+ year’s professional experience in end-to-end construction project management.

  • Knowledge of local code requirements

  • Exposure to the construction sales process

  • Advanced skills in Project timeline management and scheduling

  • Strong communication and project progress reporting

  • Familiar in the use of technology in project management design and construction
