Factory Operations - Vallejo, CA - Mare Island

Position Summary:

We are looking for a mid-level architect (license not needed) skilled in AutoCAD Revit and Adobe Creative Suite, capable of making revisions to existing CAD drawings and generating details and sketches under direction of company principals.  This position will be required to contribute to and support all architectural projects by helping prepare designs, complete construction documents, write-up building plans and assist in the presentation of materials. 

What you’ll do

Project Design

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Revit and Adobe Creative Suite to create and prepare architectural drawings at all levels of project development

  • Conceptualize and experiment with different design configuration through software

  • Prepares the creative 3D layouts and draws preliminary sketch of project to present to client

  • Co-ordinate with production and sales team to discuss project specifications and procedures

  • Present and explain proposals, reports or finding to clients

  • Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications

  • Determines requirements of projects, feasibility of project and contributes to cost estimates

  • Assists with coordinating bid process

  • Follow building codes, fire regulations, zoning and city ordinance

  • Prepare and “record” drawings on completion of construction

  • Provide design improvements for DSA approvals

 General requirements

  • Familiar with basic office software Excel, CRM and CPM

  • Constructively contribute towards project development and architectural documents, based on experience and knowledge of architecture and construction

  • Stay up-to-date on policy, zoning and regulation changes, types of building materials and construction methods 

  • Federal and state facility and code requirements

  • Develop or implement programs to improve sustainability or reduce the environmental impacts of engineering or architecture activities or operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field and 3-5 years of architectural experience
